Dexter's Info...

Dexter's Story...
"Hi there...my name is Dexter, and I am a little bit on the shy side, because it is a little bit overwhelming to be in an "animal shelter". I love going for walks, and walk great on a leash. I would of course very much like to have a new forever home with you. Just wait 'til you see my handsome face. Would love to have a little yard to run around in at my new forever home, as I like to exercise each day, but I'd also be content to sit by your side or snuggle with you. Oh yes...I love hugs too. When you come to visit the shelter, please ask to see me...Dexter. I promise that I'll be watching for you. Love, Dexter". Kennel #28.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a El Cajon Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
