My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lilly is a three year old puppy mill survivor. Puppy mill dogs do not receive proper socialization, and they need a "role model." Like all puppy mill dogs, Lilly must be in a home with a friendly, confident dog who will help her learn. If you have a dog (or two) and are seeking to add another dog to your home, a puppy mill dogs will give you wonderful opportunity to help a dog blossom. Here is what Lilly wants you to know:

My name is Lilly, and I am a puppy mill survivor. I lived in a small cage for three years and made lots of babies. I now have a new occupation -- being a very happy dog! I discovered basking in wonderful carpets of grass and running gleefully up and down stairs.

I love to bounce and dance and play. The most fun is going to the dog park, where our entire pack walks the paths and meets and plays with other happy dogs. Happy. Happy. Happy. There, I am one of the gang, and it feels great.

I am learning so fast -- how to walk on a leash and do a "shake." I am slowly shedding my skitters.

But there are so many more things to learn, so I take lots of patience, and a family and doggy sibling to teach me how to be the best dog ever. I can do it! I know!

And time for love -- always -- and lots of scratches. And I find a small cozy out-of-the-way place in bed with my foster parents.

And for the first time I have a REAL name: LILLY! I am LILLY and I know it! I love hearing my name. It is perfect for petite me, only 38 pounds and so pretty and dainty my foster mom says, but I could use a little more padding.
