Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hobbes.
18 mo old Red & white Persian. Foster Home Wanted.
Hobbes came to Rescue with Calvin, and a couple of other Persians. They were living in filth in a garage in the middle of a very cold spell. There was no heat in the garage except for the lamp in a Bearded Dragon cage. Hobbes was so cold that he wedged himself up into the cage and under the heat lamp. It got so hot that his coat was scorched. This is one time that being fully matted was a good thing because it probably saved his life. It burned the mats, but didn't get down to his skin. He was so matted he could hardly move. You can take a look at his current pictures and see he had to be almost completely shaved, but know that he's going to be much more handsome when his coat is fully grown in. Please also take a close look at Hobbes' intake photo. You can see that his coat is so matted he looks like he's wearing a turtle's shel, and his face was really dirty. Hobbes is a wonderful boy. He gets along with other kitties, but may do best with females. We don't expect this baby to be in Rescue long, but we'll try to get better photos if he stays with us much longer. If Hobbes is not immediately adopted, we'd be thrilled to find a great family to foster him, and keep his face washed and his coat brushed while he awaits his own special forever family.
