found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
McGinley and Hanning were rescued from an overcrowded shelter. Shortly after their rescue, they became very ill with a serious upper respiratory infection. They were hospitalized for a week and under the loving care of Drs. McGinley and Hanning (and others), they survived.
This brother and sister are very sweet and friendly. They love being with people, especially Hanning. He is the ultimate lap cat. McGinley is a little shyer but still loves attention. Being handled by all the medical staff at the veterinary hospital has made them very used to people.
Even though they recovered from their URI, Hanning had some neurological damage (cerebellar hypoplasia) due to his illness. He has some wobbliness in his back end. But both he and his sister are playful, fun loving kittens, even though sometimes Hanning's back end doesn't always follow his front end and sometimes his back end plops over. But he runs and plays just like a normal kitten. He climbs the cat tree and get around just fine, just like his sister.
The kittens use the litterbox fine! No problems.
Hanning's condition seems to be stable, though we do not know that he will get any better over time. At this point, he does not require any vet care in excess of what a regular cat or kitten would require. He does not require any medications or special veterinary treatment.
These kittens are very attached to each and would love to be adopted together. We realize that may not be possible so they can be adopted separately. We just want them to go to good homes where they will be loved and appreciated.
These kittens were born March 6, 2011. They have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV. Hanning is classified as a Special Needs kitty. As with all of our Special Needs cats, there is no adoption fee for Hanning. We do still require that you submit an adoption application and be approved. Make a difference for one or both of these cuties today, and make them part of your family. You will not be sorry that you did!
