Shadow's Story...
Hi, my name is Shadow and I need a home. I am a 5 year old, neutered male who was abandoned by my previous owners when they moved away. I used to live in a nice warm apartment, but when my owners moved they left me outside in the cold. The apartment manager took me in and tried to take care of me but after a few months of being outdoors I decided that I liked the fresh air and I was not adjusting well to an indoor-only life. The manager then brought me to VPAS so that I could find a home where I would have access to a safe outdoor area. I am extremely affectionate and I get along well with the other cats here at VPAS. I have not really had any experience with children or dogs, but I am fairly laid back so I might adjust to them. If you have a home that has a safe yard, and you have lots of love to give, please come to VPAS, I'd love to meet you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Saanichton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Saanichton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Saanichton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saanichton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saanichton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saanichton paves the way for another one to be saved.
