My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE CONTACT BOARDING@KAMPK9.NET AND MANHATTENARS@GMAIL.COM.

You would never guess by looking at Nina's pics that she is a cuddly, goofy, funny little love bug. She only about 14' tall at the shoulder and is almost as wide as she is tall. She is about 1 year old and a muscular 45 lbs. This compact little girl could possibly be a pure bred staffordshire bull terrier. She has the look as well as the trademark wonderful outlook on life. Nina is a very energetic girl who loves to run and play.

Nina is very outgoing and friendly; loves EVERYBODY she meets. She especially enjoys kids; she was picked up by animal control trying to follow the kids onto the school bus! She enjoys a good belly rub and will make it very easy for you to accommodate. Nina gets along great with other dogs of all shapes & sizes. Her newest best friend is Amos, the cat, as you can see in one of her pics.

A veterinary orthopedic surgeon has told us that Nina sustained a fracture in her right front leg/shoulder at some point early in life. It was not treated and she adapted, as these stoic dogs are known to do. She has a bit of a limp that the ortho thinks comes from arthritis as a result of the injury. She is on daily NSAIDs (doggie "ibupfrofen") and over-the-counter joint support supplements. In spite of her old injury, Nina loves to run & jump & play tug with her dog pals.

PLEASE CONTACT BOARDING@KAMPK9.NET OR MANHATTENARS@COMCAST.NET.

Adoption fees range from $150-$250 for dogs. Nina is up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and on heartworm prevention.

THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!
