My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello World!
My name is Tigger and I'm a friendly little guy of one. Mom says that my Aunties at Bichon FurKids named me well, as I am cheerful, outgoing and bouncy like the original Tigger (in Winnie the Pooh!) who weighs all of seven pounds. And while I’m a handsome guy who loves other dogs (and people!) I’m not a push-over. In fact Mom says I am teaching my big (!) doggy foster brothers that even a gentle little guy can hold his ground! Of course I do it in such a sweet way that everyone wants to be my best friend.

Dad says that, like my namesake, I’m filled with energy and optimism and that I undertake things with gusto! He says I’m an indomitable little trooper. I'm not sure what "indomitable" means, but he says you’ll understand that when you learn a bit more about me. So please read on!

I’m housebroken (see what a good boy I am!) love to ride in the car and love to play. I enjoy my nylabones and chew toys a lot! Mom and Dad agree that I know how to get around and master things very quickly. Why Mom says I am so smart she sometimes thinks I'm doing calculus in my head. (I think Mom is pretty smart -- and funny too!)

I'm a playful little boy who loves to be outside. One of my favorite things to do is to roll in the grass… upside down that is! I REALLY like it when it's warm from the sun. That feels soooooo gooooood! When I’m not enjoying the yard, my doggy foster brothers and sisters or any other dogs that I meet, I am happy to cuddle. And my doggy bed and my blankie are just perfect for cuddling.

I also like to hang out where the "action" is, whether it’s watching TV, working on the computer or reading a book. You see while I enjoy action I also enjoy quiet time. The important part is to be with my people. And I sleep quietly in the big bed at night ‘cause I’m such a good little guy!

I also love to go on short walks with Mom and the other furkids. Now Mom says that of course all of us furkids are special– but I’m extra special! She says to tell you something that may surprise you. I do all of the things we talked about with only three legs. You see when my Aunties found me I had a bad leg that had to be removed. But they took one look at my eyes, I looked straight into their hearts– and that was it. They told me that love was bigger than one leg and that someday I was going to have the bestest family in the world. They said they would love me for being the brave, loving, trusting and courageous little guy that I am!

So, if you think you might be that really special family, and you'd like to bring a happy, handsome and gentle little guy into your home, please complete our application and ask for me. I’m Tigger and I'll be waiting!

Tail wags and Kisses,
Tigger the Terrific
