Meet Kodi! Kodi is a sweet, gorgeous, large 4 year old male GSD. He ended up in the shelter when his elderly owner was no longer able to care for him.

Kodi is a very affectionate boy. He loves people, and gets along well with other dogs. Unfortunately, he did test positive for heartworm disease, but has already begun treatment and will have a clean bill of health soon. More will be posted about him as he settles in at his foster home and we get to know him better.

Kodi is utd on routine vaccinations and flea. tickprevention. He has been microchipped, and will be neutered as soon as he's recovered from HW treatment.

Kodi must go to a home where he will live inside as an important member of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21. Our adoption fee is $300, which includes the health certificate fee ($50) for dogs who traveled to their new home and is required by the USDA for all animals crossing state lines. The separate ground transport fee ($125) can be paid directly to P.E.T.S. upon pickup of your dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kodi, a Brattleboro German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
