Earl's Story...
Meet Earl. He is a clown! Earl looks mostly like a basset hound and has long floppy ears and short basset legs. He is super friendly and he loves toys! Earl is about 4 1/2 months old and he was saved from the kill shelter with his siblings on his very last day..whew! He weighs 20 lbs and will only be a medium size dog at adulthood. He gets along great with everyone and everything! He also loves the water...he swims in his big giant water bowl regularly so it would be great if he found a home with a kiddie pool just for him, or a pond nearby that he could explore.
Earl can come to his new home on Labor Day weekend when his shots and neutering is completed!BR> Please, you MUST click the following link BEFORE emailing for further information. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Earl, a Harrisonburg Basset Hound/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
