Hi, I'm Peanut! I am a Chihuahua and I was born in 2010.

Are you looking for a small but very protective dog... then look at me! I'm looking for a home to guard. I was found wondering the streets taken to a shelter where I was adopted by a lady who didn't take very good care of me and gave me up. I'm not fond of small children so a home that doesn't have any or want any would be perfect for me. Not that I don't like them I just don't like my feet or ears touched, guess you would say Im sensitive for some unknown reason and kids are too touchy and I cry and may scare them.

I love adults and especially adults who have a lap. At night I love to snuggle under the covers in my crate, but would adapt to a bed if the human would allow me to. I just go under the covers. I'm small and don't take up much room either. So before you look at some big dog with a big appetite think about a small but compact guy who is wishing for a forever home with my own humans, not that I don't like living with my foster mom, but she has others and can't give me the attention a small lovable guy like me is longing for. So give me a chance and put an application in for PEANUT today at!

About Animal Allies of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site for specific locations and times.
