Dunkin's Story...

Dunkin showed up as a stray at a local Dunkin Donuts on a busy road. She was trapped by a FERAL volunteer who has been fostering her since then, for almost a year now. We think she is about 3 or 4 years old. Dunkin was very timid at first but has really come out of her shell and turned out to be a very sweet, affectionate cat.

Dunkin would do best in a quiet home without small children, as their loud playing and sudden movements would most likely be too much for a 'scaredy cat' like sweet Dunkin. We don't know where this beautiful girl came from or what her life was like before she was 'abandoned' but we do that Dunkin deserves a wonderful, forever home of her own.

We will try to get a much better of Dunkin asap, this one does NOT do her justice!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dunkin, a Roanoke Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Roanoke, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Roanoke.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roanoke already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roanoke breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roanoke paves the way for another one to be saved.
