Dot's Story...
Nice to meet you! I am Dot, an active 8 month old beagle/shar-pei mix who has found myself at the shelter looking for a great new home. I am a high energy dog who would make a great hiking or jogging partner. I will need daily exercise in order to keep me and my new family happy. Without proper daily activity I may become destructive. Because I am so young I will need to be signed up for positive based reward training before I can go to my new home. This will help me learn some new things and will also help with me socialize with other dogs. I could live with another dog in my new home but that dog will need to have the same energy level as me, and want to play play play! Cats are probably not the best idea unless you have a really dog savvy cat. Kids over 10 would be okay, I still jumps up sometimes and can be a little mouthy. I just need the right family to teach me some great manners and I will be a valued member of a new family. If you are interested in adding an active member to your family please stop by and say hello

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dot, a Bellingham Beagle/Shar Pei puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Shar Pei for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Beagle/Shar Pei puppy from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Shar Pei breeders who help with Beagle/Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
