My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Margot Mau.
18 mo Egyptian Mau mix.
Margot was purchased from a "breeder" ( we use the term lightly
here), and then bred twice by the time she was 18 months old. Poor
girl, she was taken away from her babies while they were still
nursing and dumped in a high kill shelter in SW Washington. She was
scheduled to be euthanized the very same day she came to the shelter.
By an amazing coincidence, our Director happened to be in Oregon that
day. Noelle, our adoption coordinator who lives in SW Washington,
raced down to the shelter and met us in Salem Oregon. Margot, and her
sister Mia, then made the 10 hour trip all the way back to Northern
California! The girls were pretty scared, but have turned into
delightful, friendly girls. Margot might be a poorly bred purebred,
meaning that her spots aren't as defined as some of the show quality
Maus and her coat is not an accepted color for any of the breed
standards. However, when you see her face, body structure and coat ..
you know what she is! This is a darling, sweet girl and we are glad
we took her from that shelter no matter what "mix" she is.
