Evan is a male black domestic short hair, with a white star on his chest. He also has the handsome distinction of having one side of his face whiskers all black and one side all white. Evan was born July 27, 2003.
Evan was found as a tiny stray kitten with no mom cat to be found, so he was brought to Kitty Corner to find a home. Evan was quickly adopted as kitten; along with another kitten, a grey tabby female named Julianne. They lived happily with their family for several years. The pair were recently returned because the mother was getting remarried and the new stepdaughter is allergic to cats. Her daughter, who grew up with the cats and loved them deeply, was very sad to see the cats returned.
Evan's former family cited no medical or behavioral problems, and indicated he was a wonderful companion pet.
Evan likes people, and he enjoys their companionship. He is friendly and affectionate to old friends and strangers alike. Evan is a very sweet and gentle cat who loves attention, and just being near his family. He wants a home where his family will take the time to play with and interact with him, and make him feel included.
Evan is a laid back guy who gets along well with other cats, but he seems to be able to take them or leave their company. He's quite self entertaining, and he is more interested in being around people then being around cats. Evan would do well as the only feline member of a family, or with another laid back feline sibling.
Evan has already lost one human family through no fault of his own. Evan will need love, attention, and reassurance from his new family that they are not going to abandon him if time brings changes to the family. Evan would make a loving and devoted family member to anyone willing to give him their time and attention. Is there space in your heart for this wonderful and loving young man? Please, call us to come and meet Evan today!
Call Kitty Corner at 315-457-4420 or fill out our adoption application at www.kittycorner.org to meet our adoptable cats and adopt a new member of your family.
Evan tests negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and all shots are up to date.
Kitty Corner has a lifetime return policy. If your adopted cat needs to be rehomed at any time, just bring it back to us. We want to be sure that none of our cats ever is homeless again.

Rescue Group Info...
At Kitty Corner, we are NOT a shelter. We are "cat rescuers" -- volunteers who live with the rescued cats in our own homes. We provide shelter, veterinary care and a chance for a new life in a loving home for cats who have been abandoned or who never had a home at all due to the overwhelming number of homeless pets.
We are all volunteers and 100% of every donation is used for the care of the cats.
When a cat first comes to us, they are briefly caged and isolated until they see our vet. They are checked for parasites and diseases. We provide vaccinations and any other veterinary care they may need. We also spay or neuter any cat who is old enough.
The healthy, altered cats are then evaluated for personality and placed in one of our four "cat rooms". When necessary, we work to overcome behavior or emotional problems so that the cat will be a happy, adoptable pet.
We try to match each cat with the person or family for whom it is best suited. The happiness of the cat and its new "people" is our first priority. In the last few years, we have taken in hundreds of cats and placed almost all of them in caring, responsible homes.
Kitty Corner is firmly committed to the idea that once a cat comes to us, it will never be homeless again. We have a life-long "cat back" guarantee. If an adoption doesn't work out at any time, for any reason, we ask that you to return the cat to us.
If you see a particular pet listed that you might like to meet, please call or e-mail and we'll tell you all about him or her.
If you are just looking to meet our cats available and see if one "clicks" with you, that's fine too!
Once you've completed the adoption application, either online or by phone, we'll invite you to meet our kitties. All of our adoptable cats are housed in the same location, so you will be able to meet everyone in one visit. We are located in Liverpool, NY.
Whether you have already found a cat or kitten you like in our adoptive listings, or if you just want to come and meet all our cats available for adoption, the first step is the application.
The first step to adopting is the adoption application. Our adoption application can be done over the phone 315-457-4420 or online at our website http://www.kittycorner.org under the "adopt" link; or here's a direct link http://www.kittycorner.org/pages/adoptapp.php
We request an adoption donation for our cats and kittens, which helps us to offset a little of our veterinary costs.
All cats, even the kittens, must be sterilized before going to new homes. We believe strongly in pediatric spay-neuter, a practice that can be used with kittens as young as eight weeks.
Kitty Corner of CNY rescues and adopts our cats to all of Onondaga County, New York State. We will also consider out of the area (including out of state) adoptions on a case-by-case basis.
