Please note: Hera is not available for adoption yet. She is taking care of some medical things -- Hera was spayed recently, and beginning September 19th, she will be treated for heartworm so she will need to restrict her exercise and take it easy for 30 days.
Hera is a pretty, petite, dark red 2 - 3 year old purebred Golden Retriever. She came to GRFR from a shelter in Missouri, having been found by a highway on a very hot day. Hera and her foster dad are very happy together. They have several important points to share with you.
He says:
- Hera is the cuddliest dog I have ever met.
- She is adorable in every sense of the word.
- She loves to watch tv with you.
- Hera is a purebred Golden Retriever "to the bone."
- She is as she is such a velcro dog . . . follows you everywhere. Loves to stay wherever you are whether you're cooking in the kitchen . . . she'll lay by your feet, or taking out the trash. . . she waits for you at the top of the stairs.
- Playful and friendly-fun-fiesty once she warms up to you. Loves to "rough house" although we've been keeping it low key since she is recovering from her spay surgery.

- When my foster daddy takes me outside, the first thing I must do is roll, and roll and roll around on my back in the grass. I'm so playful. Throw me the ball. . . please!" .
- I am real friendly and gentle with strangers. I love to mingle.
- Most of all, nothing beats watching tv with my foster dad, resting my head on his stomach or his lap."
