Dodger ADOPTION PENDING's Story...
My name is Dodger, and I'm a 7-yr old, male, red/blue Australian Cattle Dog. I was rescued from the pound just in the nick of time where I was going to be euthanized for no good reason! I am a sweet senior looking for my forever home where I can start a new chapter in life. I am very well-mannered and have no destructive behaviors. I am super smart and learn very quickly. I am doggie-door trained and housebroken. I am good with other dogs and probably kids too, because I am calm. I am not good with cats yet, but I'm working on it! I still have plenty of life and love to give- I even like playing with toys. I listen well when given instructions by my foster mom. I love a good ear scratch, belly rub, and cuddle with my human companions. I am a little protective of my food at times with other dogs, but I haven't been aggressive with people at all. I know how to sit and am learning to take treats gently. I cannot wait to meet my furrever family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dodger ADOPTION PENDING, a Phoenix Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
