Mr.T's Story...
My name is Mr. T. I am a 2 year old male Basset/beagle mix. I weigh 45 pounds, so I am a medium sized dog. I am built just like a basset but don't have the long ears. I am super sweet and friendly. I get along with everyone I meet. I get along with other dogs as well. I love to be petted and brushed. I am active but not in any way hyper. I love to run and play but otherwise am very well behaved. I would make a really good dog for your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr.T, a Harrisonburg Basset Hound/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
