My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy is an old girl, but don’t hold that against her. That is what has endeared her to us. This quiet brown tabby girl sought refuge from the cold in the boiler room of the local dry cleaning business after being left behind by her owners. She’s a survivor! The kind people who run the business rescued this emaciated girl and made her as comfortable as possible. They fed her, brushed her, kept her safe, and she survived under the machinery for nearly two months until she went to a foster home in early July. A local vet said she may be 13 or 14 and appears as healthy as can be expected for an old girl. Lucy, a calm, sweet girl, is comfortable in her foster home where she seeks out attention and loves to be petted. She is hoping someone will adopt her and love her for the rest of her life.
