Big Al's Story...
Big Al is a stunningly gorgeous puppy with his chocolate fur and light green eyes. He is also a goofy, sweet puppy who is playful and full of personality! His mother was rescued from the Ft. McDowell Indian Reservation just a few days before she gave birth on June 27, 2011. Mom is about 35 lbs and Al will likely be a bit larger. We do not know anything about the father, but we are pretty sure he is a chocolate lab. Al is a really good puppy and he is going to be a great dog! He is great with other dogs and with children, and he is very smart. His adoption fee is $250 and that includes de-worming, neuter, microchip and series of puppy vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Big Al, please contact Delon.Washo@asu.edu or 602-295-4518.

AZ Prussian Snailhound Dog Rescue would like to remind everyone that puppies are a big commitment and require a lot of attention. Puppies often exhibit undesirable behaviors such as chewing and digging. Of course they also are a lot of fun and are very lovable too. When choosing a puppy please consider how much time you will be able to spend training and socializing your new puppy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Big Al, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
