Here's what the humans have to say about me:
When Eva went to East Valley to check out this dog for Sheltie Rescue, she realized she wasn't a Sheltie or a Collie but her temperament was so friendly and happy she pulled her anyway!! It was the day before she was to be put to sleep. She had a tumor on her toe, so she went directly to the vet. Her bloodwork was great so her tumor was removed and a dental done. Maya is still super thin so needs to gain weight before being spayed....she will eventually be about 50#. She acts like she is about 7 years old and her teeth look the same. Since there was a little cloudiness in her eyes, the vet aged her at 10 - she doesn't act this at all. Maya is a tri color with splashes of blue merle throughout her coat. She is stunning! We are guessing she is Border Collie and Aussie but of the laid back version who loves attention and people. Everyone LOVES this dog!!! Maybe we'll change our rescue's name to Southland Sometimes Collie Rescue! Maya is a doll and will make a great addition to your family. She should be ready for adoption in September. Don't miss out on this dog. Email for an application and to get approved.
