Star's Story...
Star is a fun, energetic girl who loves to have respectful playtime with her foster brother Kevyn. She also enjoys to play fetch! Star has a gentle temperament, and has been loving to her foster parents and friends. Star would love active patents who can keep up with her exuberant energy.  Star likes to say hello to her cat foster sister, while respecting her need for distance. She would be ok living in a household with cats, however should have her cat interactions supervised by her parents. Star is being crate trained by her foster parents, and is learning how to walk without pulling. Star knows a couple basic commands, and would benefit from additional obedience training.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Star, a Portland Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
