Daddy Jack's Story...
Hi there! I am Daddy Jack! I am the very proud father of those precious Sunshine Pups.... you know them as Cookie Deau, Caramel, Mittens, Rufus, Frenchy, Eric, Sookie and Tara. They are nearly all adopted to wonderful homes now but Annabelle and I are still waiting for our forever families.

We were living under the Sunshine Bonsai Tree Shop on Greenville Avenue in Dallas. Life was pretty tough I have to admit. And though I was afraid and I didn't realize it at the time, our luck finally changed when those Animal Allies ladies came into our lives. Ever since they rescued me and my family we have been living the high life! Now we have A/C, regular meals, soft beds, clean water and guess what.... NO MORE FLEAS!

I have been vaccinated and neutered and I am ready for my forever home. So if you would like to donate to our care or if you would like more information on me or my lovely mate Annabelle please go to and donate and/or fill out an application today!

About Animal Allies of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site for specific locations and times.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: dogs-$175, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
