Skyler's Story...
Skyler is a wonderful 11-month-old pure-bred Shih Tzu that was rescued from the North Central Animal Shelter. Weighing 14 pounds, Skyler is such a love bug and a lot of fun to hang out with. Skyler loves to get his toys and share them with you. He is such a cute dog and always so happy to meet everyone. He enjoys playing with both large and small dogs. Skyler is very gentle with children and seems to enjoy their company. He is also living with 2 cats and does not bother either of them. He has been on several walks and does very well.

Skyler sleeps in his crate, but also enjoys a nice fluffy dog bed. He is not hyper nor does he bark for just anything; he is actually a calm little guy. Skyler is such a happy boy and just wants to make everyone around him as happy as he is.

When Skyler was rescued, his skin was all pink and raw towards his backside due to flea dermatitis, however, Skylers skin and coat are improving through antibiotics and good care. Skyler is neutered, fully vaccinated, including rabies, and micro-chipped. If you are interested in Skyler, please contact Janet Cook of the Angels Heart Dog Rescue at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com. The adoption fee for Skyler is: $250.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skyler, a Yorba Linda Shih Tzu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Yorba Linda, or seeking a Shih Tzu puppy from a breeder in Yorba Linda.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yorba Linda already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yorba Linda breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yorba Linda paves the way for another one to be saved.
