Squeaker's Story...
This guy is charming and sweet. He's a Collie/Shepherd mix, about 9 years old, 65 pounds, who's super-sweet, mellow, generally good with other dogs and great with children. He came into the city shelter as a stray and is looking for that special someone to take him home and cherish him throughout his older years. He hates to be alone and has severe seperation anxiety, so a home with an older couple or homebound individual would be best. He's a wonderful companion and is the perfect dog as long as someone is around!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Squeaker, a Brooklyn Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
