Perdita's Story...
Here's pretty Perdita! Well, I will be even more pretty when my, ahem, "matronly" look goes away. You see, I just weaned my NINE puppies and boy, am I glad! Time for me to start my new life as a pampered pet. I came from another shelter, so not a lot is known about my past. Except that I got heartworms! The good news is that these are going to be treated by the good people of HSC and I should be ready to live my life worm-free soon.

This pet comes with a 30-day gift of Sheltercare pet insurance, the number one brand of pet insurance for adopted pets. Over 3 million adopted pets have already been insured!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Perdita, a Charlotte Australian Cattle Dog/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
