Caramel's Story...
My name is Caramel and I am as sweet as my name suggests. I am three years old and get along well with people and other cats but I do not like dogs. I am a little shy at first but very sociable once you get to know me. I like to be brushed and will curve my body into the brush because it feels so good. I like to play with cat toys and will swat and bat at any toy mouse that happens to pass by. I am a lap kitty and enjoy sitting in your lap or laying in the sun. I am spayed, micro chipped, and current on my vaccines. Please come into CHS to visit with me today and I will work my way into your heart.

This pet comes with a 30-day gift of Sheltercare pet insurance, the number one brand of pet insurance for adopted pets. Over 3 million adopted pets have already been insured!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Caramel, a Jackson Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Jackson, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Jackson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jackson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jackson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jackson paves the way for another one to be saved.
