Thunder's Story...
Thunder 13106772 is a 10 month old male blond and white retriever mix. At 65 pounds, he is a very sweet big boy and a clever escape artist, who actually climbed a tree to get over his back yard fence. He needs a secure place to stay as well as a good deal of attention, as you will see the minute you walk by his cage and he leaps up to greet you. Retrievers are affectionate and loyal animals and need to be with their family and not just be stuck out in the yard with no humans all day. He likes other dogs and is good with older kids and up. If you can handle a big boy, you can’t do better than Thunder. But even if you can’t, he would love somebody to come by and visit.

This pet comes with a 30-day gift of Sheltercare pet insurance, the number one brand of pet insurance for adopted pets. Over 3 million adopted pets have already been insured!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thunder, a Houston Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
