Bo's Story...
Bo is a playful, happy, active and energetic 1 year old chihuahua. At about nine pounds, he is long-legged and could gain a pound or two. He loves to run and play, and believes in the head-on body slam approach to playtime. He might make a great little dog for someone who wanted to participate in agility or other active sport. He can be a little mouthy in his play, so would do best in a family of older kids to adults. If you'd like to meet Bo, please contact his fosters at Rover Oaks Katy at281-693-7687 and speak with Joy or Jacque, or you may e-mail joy@roveroaks.com

This pet comes with a 30-day gift of Sheltercare pet insurance, the number one brand of pet insurance for adopted pets. Over 3 million adopted pets have already been insured!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bo, a Houston Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Houston, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
