Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Abe is a happy, sociable black field-style lab who is approximately 10 years old. Abe was turned over to LabRescuers by his owner as there was a death in the family and she must downsize to an area with no yard. She has owned Abe since he was a puppy and is heartbroken at her need to surrender Abe. She reports that he is housebroken and still very active, enjoying running in their yard. He is not used to car travel except to the vets, but will ride nicely with reassurance. He is a real "stay at home" dog, used to exercise in the yard, not walks to parks or beaches.
This senior could really use a great FOREVER HOME to replace the great one he is losing.
Abe has a new foster family who reports that Abe bonds very quickly, likes a short walk, and accepts other dogs--though he prefers to be in charge. He's very mellow with his people, preferring to just hang out with his owner. He's working on some much-needed weight gain--lucky dog!
