Ninya's Story...
Almost all of Ninya's puppies have left the roost and now it's time for her to find a new home! This girl is the perfect size, around 30 lbs or so. She is very active and playful, only a puppy herself at one year old. She is the cutest and very affectionate.

All dogs at our shelter have been started on a vaccination program, de-wormed, screened for heartworm and started on heartworm preventative, treated with Advantage for fleas, spayed/neutered and microchipped. The adoption fee for a dog is $150. If you are a PA resident, you will also be required to purchase a dog license. There are 2 licensing options : annual licenses are $6.50 and are renewable every January. Lifetime licenses are $31.50 and never need to be renewed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ninya, a Honesdale Dalmatian/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dalmatian/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Honesdale, or seeking a Dalmatian/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Honesdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Honesdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Honesdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dalmatian/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Dalmatian/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Honesdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
