Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tiki is a very friendly and affectionate little boy. He was turned in to BDRA when his owner was no longer able to care for him. He loves people and attention. When he wants to be cuddled, he will come to you and stand on his hind legs to be picked up! He would spend hours sitting on your lap if you let him! Otherwise, he likes to lay right at your feet. He likes to know where you are, and he will follow you all over the house. Tiki does have some sight, and he was able to figure out my house very quickly, even finding the ramp off the deck all by himself. He does occasionally get stuck in a corner and will then need to be guided out. Tiki gets lubricating eye drops once a day, and he is a very good boy about this. He stands quite still and is very patient. Tiki is fine when left alone, but he is very happy when you come home! He will wiggle with delight when he sees you again! When he gets excited, he does his little happy dance... Tiki walks very well on a leash and he loves his walks. He knows when you’re getting his leash!! Tiki is not neutered due to his slightly elevated liver values. He will be retested in two weeks, and if all is well, he will then be neutered. Tiki does mark in the house, although this is improving. He wears a belly band when he is inside. He does not need his belly band overnight. He is crate trained, and when he's very tired, he will go into his crate or find a quiet corner for a snooze. If Tiki is stressed and in a new situation, he will give a warning growl that he wants to be left alone. He did this his first day here, but has not done this since. If you're looking for an adorable little boy to be your loving and devoted companion, a boy who will dance with delight every time you walk in the door, then Tiki Idol is the one for you!
