Percy's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.

Percy's Story...
Percy was found with another cat friend, hanging around the neighborhood. His front right leg was broken and healed, without medical attention, so that he doesn’t have use of it. He’s a little bashful at first but, eventually, all he wants to do is sit on your lap and be petted. Currently, Percy is at a foster home so please call 815-751-8227 for more information. Fee: $90 Birthdate: 12/13/09

- - - - - Note: All cats and kittens are spayed or neutered; FIV-FeLV-Heartworm tested negative; vaccinated with FVRCP vaccine; wormed and microchipped. Kittens and cats older than 4 months also have a rabies vaccination.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Percy, a DeKalb Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in DeKalb, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in DeKalb.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in DeKalb already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a DeKalb breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in DeKalb paves the way for another one to be saved.
