for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Chica's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Chica's Story...
Chica had an injury with serious lacerations to her face a few months ago. Fortunately for Chica, K-9 PALS funds paid for her surgeries and other medical care. Chica is currently in foster. For more information on Chica, call 805-570-0415.

Upon entering the shelter, Chica was called a "gentle giant". She's very laid back and seems to be smiling all the time. We've recently learned that Chica gets along with cats, dogs, and little kids in her foster caregiver's home.

Complete a no-obligation adoption application if you are interested in Chica. If you are unable to adopt, then consider donating to K-9 PALS so that they may continue to pay for the non-routine medical care and special diet foods for the dogs at the Santa Barbara Animal Shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chica, a Santa Barbara American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Santa Barbara, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Santa Barbara.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Barbara already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Barbara breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Barbara paves the way for another one to be saved.
