ROSEMARY's Story...
"Rosemary" - Always smiling, this high-spirited year-old beagle-lab mix is built like an Olympic athlete, with about 30 pounds of solid muscle. If she were a gymnast, Rosemary would love tumbling and doing cartwheels in floor routines or flying through the air with the greatest of ease. Always ready for adventure, Rosemary yearns for a yard and an active family lifestyle. With freckles on her ears and bells on her toes, Rosemary will bring music and joy wherever she goes. So if you have a lonesome, only dog looking for a playmate, Rosemary will be a perfect match. Come and meet the Mary Lou Retton of the dog world at Tuesday's Rice University Farmer's Market from 4-7pm. P.S. This "Rosemary" is not with the herbs, but with the rescue dogs at True Blue Friends. Contact Janice at truebluerescue@gmail.com or 713.592.2299 to arrange a meeting with Rosemary.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ROSEMARY, a Houston Beagle/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Labrador Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Beagle/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Beagle/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
