Perseus's Story...
Perseus is a handsome boy who was saved from a local animal shelter after he was picked up as a stray and no one came to reclaim him. Perseus became urgent after he started coughing. Rescued Friends came to his rescue and after a round of antibiotics, he's completely better! He DOES NOT get along with cats or small dogs. Perseus is approximately 2 years old and currently weighs roughly 70lbs. He still needs to put on some weight and will gain at least another 10-15 pounds. Perseus knows how to sit, lay down, shake, and heal. Perseus does have a lot of energy, so an active adopter who needs a running partner would be a perfect match. Due to his high energy, a home with children under the age of 10 is not recommended. Perseus is also leash trained as well, along with house and crate trained. He is fully vetted, which includes; neutered, all vaccines, heartworm negative, kept on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, and microchipped.
Adoption fee is $150.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Perseus, a Arlington German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Arlington, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
