Jessi's Story...
Hello, my name is Jessi and I am a 6 month old Aussie Shepherd. My foster mom says I'm a true sweetheart! I am crate trained and we are working on housebreaking right now. I do know how to use the doggy door and I love to play with my doggy friends at my foster mom's home. I am accused of being a cuddler but I think that is okay because I love being around people and giving them hugs and kisses. My coat is soft and silky and I will need to be brushed every week to keep my coat looking pretty. I do have the energy and disposition of a Aussie Shepherd and so I would be better in a home without small children (preferably over the age of ten). I love to run and romp in the back yard especially if I have a canine companion to play with.

If you would like to meet me, please call Elise or Carl at 816-898-5646 or email them at cbush86975@aol.com. I also will be either at Petco or Petsmart in Kansas on Saturdays from 12-3pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jessi, a Overland Park Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
