Dylan McKay's Story...
'Sup? The name's Dylan McKay, don't wear it out. Not much to know about me, I date hot chicks, ride my motorcycle and wear a lot of black. The ladies like me because I am a "bad boy," but here's a secret for your ears only: the baddest thing about me is that I don't floss every night. So maybe I am not exactly the tough guy everyone thinks I am, but I am still one rad dude. My biology teacher don't think so, but I am actually a pretty smart fella. You gotta learn fast if your gonna eat well around here. Now that I am almost 8 weeks old, I am ready to ride; I'm gonna go anywhere the wind will take me. You interested in tagging along? That'd be a'ight. Fill out an application at and we can meet up first. Being fixed, vaccinated and microchipped is part of my adoption. My adoption fee is $300. I am currently living in foster care.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dylan McKay, a Portland German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
