About me:
Kids 12 and up and other dogs are ok with me. I might be ok with cats.

I’m a sweet and happy little fellow. I got lost and never found my way back home. Luckily I ended up at Dakin. Even though the staff here have made me feel right at home, I’d prefer a real home with a nice family who would also treat me kindly. I am sometimes nervous when being petted around my head but with some positive reinforcement training and gentle handling I can learn to be more confident about petting. I get a little frightened around big dogs but I sure love dogs that are more my size. I can be quite playful and cute! If you’d like to meet me up close and personal, ask a staff person to bring me out.

This pet comes with a 30-day gift of Sheltercare pet insurance, the number one brand of pet insurance for adopted pets. Over 3 million adopted pets have already been insured!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Woosta, a Springfield Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
