Stephen's Story...
Stephen King is a great movie writer. Maybe our Stephen will follow in his footsteps? Afterall, he was found by the movie theaters in Marshalltown! Stephen is very laid back, nothing ruffles "The Shining" fur. This big grey and white domestic short hair was found as a stray and we estimated his birth date to be August of 2010. He likes other cats, but he is not too fond of "Cujo". Stephen is hoping for a "Shawshank Redemption" of his own when he finds someone to "Stand By Me" and take him home. Don't make him be in "Misery," fill out your adoption application for Stephen today! His adoption fee is just $85 and includes neuter, microchip, distemper/bordetella vaccinations, and a parasite treatment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stephen, a Marshalltown Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marshalltown, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marshalltown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marshalltown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marshalltown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marshalltown paves the way for another one to be saved.
