Sugar's Story...
Sugar (aka Honey) is a wonderful, loving companion! She's a healthy 120 pounds, very mellow, completely trustworthy in the home, has no separation anxiety, and is very quiet. She is hard of hearing at lower ranges, but does react with a high pitched whistle. She loves people of all sizes, and is excellent on a leash where she enjoys a short walk each day. She would be great with an older person who just wants a buddy to pal around with, and doesn't expect a lot of ball playing or exuberance in their dog. She doesn't "go after" other dogs, but will growl at them if they get in her face. If interested in adopting miss Sugar, please fill out an Adoption Application on our web site at www.sunnysaints.org, return it and we'll schedule your home check and meet and greet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar, a Bellflower St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
