Meet Paisley! A female, 4 1/2 mos old Dachshund. She currently weighs 6 1/2 lbs and should be about 8-10 lbs when full grown.

Where she came from before landing in the shelter is a bit of a mystery but we believe she was abandoned by a local breeder because one of her ears stands up instead of flopping down in the typical Doxie breed look. Because of that one wayward ear we also think she may have some Chihuahua in her which would also account for her being a bit smaller than your standard Doxie. She was very sad and shut down at the shelter and we just could not turn our backs on this young dog who has her whole life ahead of her.

Paisley is very shy and is just learning that the world is a safe place. We believe she either had little human contact or that the human who did have her was not worthy of her trust. She is very sweet and will bury her head in your neck for security. She is well behaved in the car and is just now learning to walk on a leash. She is housebroken or will use puppy pads, whichever you prefer. Paisley gets along with other dogs and would do well with a friendly male canine companion or as an only dog. She is quiet and very calm for a puppy.

Paisley is spayed, microchipped, rabies, up to date on shots, dewormed and housebroken.

If you would like to find out more about her please contact Theresa at tfbully@hotmail.com or call 951 852-7999.
