Bumblebee's Story...
Young Bumblebee was found as a stray. This pretty girl is an All-American mix, and our best guess is that Labrador retriever and American pit bull terrier predominate. We estimate that she’s about two years old. She loves toys and balls and will give them up readily to keep a game of fetch going. She takes treats very gently. She’ll be easy to train using both toys and treats as rewards, and, as always, adopters will receive a discounted rate at our popular training classes. Bumblebee is unhappy alone in her kennel, and is seeking a new home where people are home most of the time. We have no way of knowing her history with cats. She might do well with other dogs, with an introduction in our play yard first. Kids over 8, old enough to keep throwing toys for Bumblebee, might be a great match. Come in for an introduction any time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bumblebee, a Westbrook American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Westbrook, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Westbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
