Pooh Bear pup Grizz's Story...
Grizz is one of seven pups in a litter unexpectedly produced by Pooh Bear (soon to be listed for adoption). Mom is a senior Labrador/Border Collie mix who used to be a great agility dog. Dad is believed to be one of the unaltered Bernese boys down the road.

The entire litter was lovingly cared for by Pooh's original owner, and are now in a Kennewick foster home and are ready to go to their forever homes. They have all been socialized with other dogs, cats and young children.

Their foster mom says they are very mellow, playful pups, and are exceptionally gentle with her young son. They are not mouthy, are easy to bathe and groom, and love to cuddle.

Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, they are up-to-date on shots, microchipped and have been treated for internal and external parasites. We do not support pediatric spay/neuter, so they have not yet been altered. Sterilization by age 7 months is mandatory, and the cost of this is included in the $250 adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pooh Bear pup Grizz, a Seattle Bernese Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bernese Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Bernese Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bernese Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Bernese Mountain Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
