Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Breed - Catahoula
Weight - 37 pounds
Color - White with black spots.
Age - 8 years old
General characteristics - Intelligent, alert, athletic, loyal, protective and work oriented.
I obtained Susie in 2002 as 6 week old pup. She was shy at first but once she got to know me, she never left my side. She is very active and loves to play ball and frisby. She as a mind of her own and is very independent at times. Ironically she is one of the most loyal dogs I have ever owned. She would be great as a watch dog as she is very alert. In addition, she would be great with children as she is very protective.
She is one of the oldest breeds in the United States brought in by the spanish during the age of exploration in the 16th century. She is still the favorite of farmers and ranchers today as like the Spanish she is used primarily as a herding dog. I love Susie a great deal so I am hoping to get her a loving and responsible owner. A kill shelter is not an option so I am suppicating as many people as I can to adopt her as a pet.
This is a courtesy post with valley dogs rescue. If you are interested in meeting Susie please contact Fred at 602-684-5302 or email at fmartell2@cox.net
