Buffy's Story...
This is Buffy a 7 year old Standard Poodle. He will be 8 in November. His Mistress recently passed away and his Master is moving into a senior living facility where Buffy is not allowed to live. All Buffy wanted was to stay by his side, like he had loyally done for so many years. RCHS was called to help him find someplace else to live, as they could see his master was heartbroken, and couldn't bear the thought of his "boy" living in a pen with a concrete floor, until his "number" was up. Buffy is house broken, crate trained (although crating is not neccessary), neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on shots. For more information you can contact Pam at 314-452-8009 or p1street@charter.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buffy, a Sunset Hills Standard Poodle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Standard Poodle for sale in Sunset Hills, or seeking a Standard Poodle dog from a breeder in Sunset Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sunset Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sunset Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Standard Poodle breeders who help with Standard Poodle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sunset Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
