Pearl's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Pearl's Story...
Pearl is a chi mix approximately 5-6 years old. Her owners moved and left Pearl behind. When the good Samaritan neighbor picked her up from wandering the street, they took her in and waited for her owners to return for her, but they never did. She has a Puggle look to her, but kinda small. We are guessing Pug and Chihuahua.

Pearl is not very fond of big dogs. She does not seem to have any opinion about cats. She is very quiet. Pearl is house trained and will use a potty pad if one is available. She loves riding in the car and going for walks. Make sure she is on the leash though, because as soon as she smells fresh air, her little legs take over and she runs like the wind. She will eventually stop and sit and wait for you, telling you she is sorry with those big beautiful brown eyes.

Pearl would make the perfect companion for a mature couple, or someone who stays close to home. She does very well with other small dogs and with older children, but at the end of the day, she is looking for that one lap she can curl up on.

Please see our other available dogs at A Leg Up Rescue such as Meara or Brandi. A Leg Up Rescue must charge an adoption fee which is $200.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete our online adoption application, or please email aLegUprescue@me.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pearl, a petaluma Pug/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Chihuahua for sale in petaluma, or seeking a Pug/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in petaluma.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in petaluma already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a petaluma breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Chihuahua breeders who help with Pug/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in petaluma paves the way for another one to be saved.
