At first glance you might think Onyx was 'just another random black cat'. But each and every one of our black cats is special and unique! We use the term 'RBC', Random Black Cat, as a term of endearment. And Onyx has certainly worked her way into our hearts. She was originally ear-tipped to go to a farm as an outside cat. Removing the very tip of the left ear is a sign that an outside cat has been altered and vaccinated. However, through a series of unfortunate events, she ended up lost in Jefferson only to be found again by dedicated volunteers who would not give up the search. She went to a foster home and immediately fit in as a foster cat. She LOVES the other cats and gets along well with everyone. She is so happy to be safe and warm that she never stops showing how much she loves us! If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: http://www.commcat.org . Please allow several days for us to process your application. We are a small, all-volunteer group and we are doing our best to work quickly! After the application is processed we will make arrangements for you to meet the cats that interest you. All of our cats and kittens are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect cat! Cats are rarely caged (only if its medically necessary) so you can visit with them and see how they act in a home. Our adoption fees are $50 for adult cats, $85 for kittens under one year, and double the love with two adult cats for $85. All cats are spayed or neutered, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, tested for FIV and FeLV (feline leukemia), and microchipped.

Rescue Group Info...
We are a cat advocacy group dedicated to ending feline overpopulation in our area. Our purpose is to help owned and unowned cats in our area by facilitating high quality, high volume, low cost spay/neuter services; helping caregivers to find resources to keep and humanely care for their cats; and providing care to cats in need, especially those who may not find help elsewhere.
We are completely foster home based and do not cage our cats unless medically necessary. Because we are foster home based, we require an approved application on file and will then make arrangements for you to meet that special cat or kitten!
An adoption application can be filled out online through our web site www.commcat.org. We will process your application as soon as possible. Our adoption fees are $50 for adults and $85 for kittens under one year old. Adoption fees include the spay or neuter, rabies and distemper vaccinations, worming, and microchipping.
We are located in Whitewater, WI. We serve the south central Wisconsin area.
