Adoption Fee:

Jasmine was found rooming the street of south Clarksville , a supporter of our rescue picked her up an fostered her . She got picked up by a Jack Russell Rescue from south of Nashville TN. Several Weeks later we got a call , that the dog is not working out and we have to come or otherwise She will be put to sleep. ( the rescue never updated her shot's or got her spayed , Jasmine spend all this time in an outside run ) We made arrangement and after another 3 weeks with the rescue ( we never could anybody to meet with us like the so post to do ) we finally got her back . When we stopped by the Petsmart in Clarksville a friend of us how worked with another rescue showed interest in her since the hade somebody looking for a dog like her. The rescue took over ownership and got her spayed the following week, the day She got spayed the adopted her to a military family with a small child. Jasmine still was under the influence of the anesthesia and when the small child came to close to her Jasmine crawled .Jasmine got the next day returned to the Rescue and I got a call to come and get her or the would take her to the vet inside the petsmart and put her to sleep. I got there and picked her up and since then She is with me.

About Second Chance and Happy Tails

About Our Rescue Group...

Second Chance & Happy Tails was founded by Inge Irby, a native of Germany, in January 1997 after a reorganizational shutdown of the local Humane Society. The organization incorporated in September 1999 . We specialize in rescuing small (less than 25 lbs.) dogs from bad situations, although we have a special place in our hearts for the elderly. We serve as Clarksville's only no-kill rescue and retirement home for small, older animals that are no longer wanted - sick or healthy.

We are an all volunteer force and rely on donations/fees to continue. Dog food (Pedigree brand canned, pouches and dry, IAMS Little Bites and small bites puppyfood, or Purina ONE Lamb & Rice only please); Heartguard Plus; Frontline; copy paper; business cards; paper towels; laundry detergent; dryersheets bleach; any gasgiftcards, any nontoxic pain and any non-carpet flooring. Our veterinary bills average $800-$3500 per month, although special needs situations can cause these figures to vary greatly. Please send donations to Second Chance & Happy Tails or email us. (1pawup@bellsouth.net) You can also use the donation button on the website.

Please visit our website for more information about our services.
