Gracie's Story...
Sweet, loving Gracie has earned the nickname “Pokem” because she pokes her nose under your hand or on your leg until you pet her. She loves people and will follow her favorite person around the house all day long. And if her favorite person isn't around, she finds someone else to “shadow” around the house! Gracie’s a sensitive girl, housebroken, very cooperative and well behaved. She’s used to being in a house with other dogs, where she’s the alpha female. True to her St. Bernard background, she is afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks and needs special attention during those times.

Gracie is a 5 year old St. Bernard / Australian Shepherd mix. She’s a medium sized girl at about 60 pounds. Her family loves her dearly but is unable to keep her due to severe allergies. She is used to being crated or left in a bedroom when her family is away. Gracie is looking for a loving home where she can be an indoor family companion and your best buddy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gracie, a Overland Park St. Bernard/Anatolian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard/Anatolian Shepherd for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a St. Bernard/Anatolian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard/Anatolian Shepherd breeders who help with St. Bernard/Anatolian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
