I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Almeria's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Almeria's Story...
Almeria and 3 siblings (the "A" kittens) were born on 7/30/11, and are at the shelter with their mother (temporarily), until they are fully weaned. At that time, we will be spaying the mother and returning her to her owner, and sending all the kittens out to new homes! The kittens will be ready to go home no later than October 1, after spay/neuter (using the AVMA early spay/neuter protocols).

The kittens are doing well, growing big and strong, under the care of their attentive mama kitty. Our volunteers are socializing the kittens, and these kittens will be fantastic family pets. They will do best as indoor-only kitties, since they haven't been raised outdoors and haven't learned any "street smarts."

Almeria is a lovely tortoiseshell girl, with a short, crooked tail.

These kittens will arrive spayed/neutered, wormed, microchipped and with all age-appropriate vaccinations. They will usually need one or two additional booster vaccinations and rabies vaccination within the first 2-4 months at home. Adoption fee is suggested minimum $58 (more gratefully accepted); discount for pair kitten adoptions!. All kittens are placed with a 3-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Almeria, a Republic Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Republic, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Republic.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Republic already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Republic breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Republic paves the way for another one to be saved.
